About the Artist

ArtistArt is never sublime, it never can reach the sublime. Art can only be the trace of the sublime and point towards that that is nowhere to be seen. Therefore we live vicariously through God.

I have been designing and making my own jewelry since 1998. I am an entirely self-taught bench jeweler. My background was mostly scholarly. I taught and published on Postmodernism and Analytical Theories for more than 20 years as a PhD Professor abroad and mostly in US Universities.

For the last 15 years, I worked on silver and resin collections. I added later an extensive gold and precious stones collection and more recently a new line of Gold and Ceramic jewelry. Most of my gold pieces are hand fabricated.

My scholarly background may have helped me create and think of my designs in a more complex and “analytical” way.

I would describe my personal style as “neo-classical”. I love abstraction and complexity but when it comes to designs, I lean towards a more “discreet” expression, looking mostly for character, movement and classical beauty.

Art pieces must remain timeless artifacts, they cannot be full of themselves, so arcane that they become disconnected from their true purpose which is the trace of the sublime.
